CSR Programs in the Comunity Development Sector

The TubanPetro Group strives to create harmonious, balanced relationships that align with the local environment, values, norms, and culture. The TJSL program, through regular funding in the social, religious, and cultural sectors, supports local communities in preserving the ancestral traditions and cultural heritage of the region. The details of these programs are as follows:

The Bang Pilo Program

Bang Pilo is an initiative to support pindang fish producers in Lombang Village, Indramayu, through training and assistance in legal compliance, business management, production facilities, marketing to help producers understand the safety benefit of using polypropylene (PP) plastic for packaging. As a result, this program has succeeded in reducing greenhouse gas emissions and increasing the income of producers

At the Indonesia Social Responsibility Awards (ISRA), the Bang Pilo program won the Platinum Award in the Economic Empowerment category.

The Sehati Program

SEHATI is an initiative to teach the importance of waste and environmental management to elementary school students in Indramayu through various activities such as producing compost from inorganic waste, thus reducing greenhouse gas emissions.

The SEHATI program received the Gold Award in the Education category at the Indonesia Social Responsibility Awards (ISRA).

MBAK LASTRI (Learning and Working in Welding, Scaffolding, Safety, and Entrepreneurship

The TubanPetro Group supports the Tuban Regency Government’s programs, particularly the Integrated Poverty Alleviation Movement (Gerdu Taskin) and the Reduction of Open Unemployment Rate (TPT) towards a self-sufficient community. A total of 3 training programs were conducted throughout 2024.

The first program was carried out in collaboration with the Tuban Vocational Training Center (BLK) to improve human resource quality through the Young Occupational Health and Safety (K3) Operator Training, held from September 10-13, 2024. This program is certified by the National Professional Certification Agency (BNSP) Jakarta.

Another initiative was the PERTUNI Tuban Branch Entrepreneurship Seminar, held on June 2, 2024, in the Plenary Meeting Room of the Tuban Regency DPRD. This training, in collaboration with the Indonesian Blind Association (PERTUNI) Tuban Branch, was attended by 106 visually impaired participants from Tuban Regency, aiming to provide entrepreneurship training.

The next training program focused on Small-Scale Industry Entrepreneurship in the snack food sector in Remen Village. Conducted in partnership with the Tuban Regency Manpower and Industry Office, this program involved 20 participants from Remen Village, who produced corn-based processed products such as tortillas and corn chips.

PRIMADONA TUBAN (Independent Environmentally-Oriented Tourism)

In 2024, the TubanPetro Group through TPPI conducted various programs to support Tuban community tourism activities, thereby helping to improve their economic standards. These programs included:

Assistance for the Construction of Fishermen’s Rinse Facilities This construction aimed to facilitate fishermen in maintaining personal hygiene and cleaning their fish catches before selling them to customers in the Jenu District area

Handover of the Panduri Beach Gate The construction of an entrance gate for the Panduri Beach tourist site was carried out in collaboration with Pokdarwis Tanjung AwarAwar, Jenu District. This gate serves as a landmark for visitors entering the Panduri Beach tourism area.

Painting of Fishing Boats In cooperation with Fisherman Cooperation Group Tanjung AwarAwar, Jenu District, assisted in painting 24 boats to protect them from corrosion, ensuring their continued use for both fishing and beach recreation.

Formation of Mina Karang Padas Group This initiative aimed to empower fishermen’s wives in Tasikharjo, housewives in Dusun Awar-Awar, and young women in Desa Tasikharjo—totaling 20 participants—to manage marine products that support tourism in Panduri Beach

Training on the Production of Fish-Based PMT Training sessions were conducted on producing fish-based supplementary food to meet the PMT needs of Ring-1 villages, in collaboration with a nutritionist from Jenu Public Health Center

Establishment of Jenu Specialty Souvenir Center A souvenir center was built at Pantai Panduri, to be managed collectively by Poklahsar Mina Karang Padas, providing a marketplace for local marine-based products.

Creation of a Marine Conservation Tree Plot Collaboration with Forest Farmer Group Sido Makmur and KUB Tanjung Awar-Awar to establish a nursery for marine conservation trees. This initiative aims to maintain the availability of conservation tree seedlings while also generating additional income from plant sales. The People’s Nursery of KTH Sido Makmur was officially recognized on July 23, 2024.

Awards and Recognitions The Primadona Tuban Program received several awards in 2024:

  1. The Women’s Empowerment Program for Fishermen’s Wives in Tasikharjo won the Platinum Award in the Gender & Social Inclusion category. Through TPPI, the TubanPetro Group was the only company to receive this Platinum Award at the ISRA on June 27, 2024.
  2. The Primadona Tuban Program for KUB Tanjung Awar-Awar Fishermen’s Families in Desa Tasikharjo had a significant economic, social, and environmental impact, earning TPPI the Silver Award at the Eco-Tech Pioneer and Sustainability Award (EPSA 2024).

Fishermen’s OHS Training Program Organized Health and Safety (OHS) training for KUB Tanjung AwarAwar fishermen, conducted by HSSE Department speakers for 20 beneficiaries. The training started on July 9, 2024, followed by the distribution of life vests as safety equipment for fishermen on July 24, 2024

Boat Engine Technician Training Provided guidance to KUB Tanjung Awar-Awar fishermen by offering boat engine technician training.

Marketing of POKLAHSAR Mina Karang Padas Products through Exhibitions Facilitated the participation of POKLAHSAR Mina Karang Padas in various exhibitions across Tuban Regency to promote their processed seafood products, including sea grapes (latoh), rebon shrimp, shrimp paste, rengginang crackers, and dried fish, to a broader market.

Assistance in Obtaining (P-Irt) Certification for Marine-Based Products In collaboration with Disnakerin Tuban, assisted in ensuring the legal compliance and licensing of marine-based products, allowing them to obtain official P-Irt (Home Industry Product) certification for safer and regulated production

Water Rescue Training In collaboration with other companies operating in Jenu District, conducted Defense and Release First Aid Water Rescue Training for the community. The training, held on November 26, 2024, was attended by 70 participants, including fishermen from Desa Tasikharjo and Desa Mentoso, POKDARWIS Pantai Panduri members, and members of DESTANA (Disaster-Resilient Villages) Remen and Tasikharjo.

BANG KAMTI (Resilient Climate Independent Village)

The TubanPetro Group through TPPI supports the local community with disaster-resilient village programs to address climate change. These programs include:

  1. Proklim Dusun (Climate Village Program) activities;
  2. Distribution of biopores and composters to the Tuban Regency Environmental and Forestry Agency (DLHP);
  3. Construction of a maggot house for organic waste management;
  4. Tree planting in the Sumur Gayung Green Open Space (RTH) in Purworejo;
  5. Village enhancing park seating facilities in the Sumur Gayung Green Open Space (RTH)

MSMEs Empowerment (“UMKM Bersatu”) Program in the Gresik Area

The TubanPetro Group implemented the Empowerment Program with UMKM Bersatu Gresik, which has been running from August 2023 to October 2024. This program involved 11 MSMEs partners that receive training on legal documentation, product branding, and the utilization of digital marketing & e-commerce platforms. The program concludes with the provision of supporting equipment for each partner business
