CSR Programs in the Disaster Mitigation Sector

The TubanPetro Group recognizes disaster risks associated with industrial operations and environmental hazards and is committed to be proactive in conducting disaster mitigation efforts as part of its CSR programs. These programs focus on enhancing community resilience, improving emergency preparedness, and fostering collaboration with local authorities to ensure swift and effective responses to potential disasters. The details of these programs are as follows:

Establishment of a Disaster Response Post in Limbangan Village

The TubanPetro Group inaugurated a Disaster Response Post in Limbangan Village and initiated the establishment of a mentored cooperative in Lombang Village. Both villages are located near Polytama’s Plant Site.

Disaster Mitigation Programs

Throughout 2024, the TubanPetro Group implemented various disaster mitigation programs in different regions, including efforts to maintain the safety of areas surrounding its operations. These programs included:

  1. Distributed aid for the eruption of Mount Lewotobi in NTT
  2. Installed evacuation routes and assembly points in Purworejo Village;
  3. Planted 150 trees in collaboration with Unirow to prevent flooding and landslides;
  4. Prepared Rapid Environmental Assessment (REA) document;
  5. Coordinated the construction of a seawall at Panduri Beach;
  6. Conducted emergency response simulation to the overflow of a fuel storage tank in Tuban
  7. Installed evacuation routes and assembly points in the western area of the TPPI refinery;
  8. Conducted fire suppression drills;
  9. Conducted light fire suppression simulations in Ring-1 villages
  10. Activated disaster response posts and disaster preparedness simulations;
  11. Provided fire extinguishers (APAR) for the Ring-1 Disaster Response Post
  12. Implemented the “Law-Aware Village” awareness program;
  13. Monitored and evaluated the seawall construction;
  14. Constructed temporary seawalls to prevent coastal erosion.

Fire Extinguishing Assistance

The Emergency Response Team (ERT) of the TubanPetro Group, represented by PON, assisted in extinguishing a fire at the Fish Drying Facility (TPI) in Lumpur Subdistrict. PON’s ERT was the first corporate disaster response team to arrive at the fire scene.
